This is an antique wooden bobbin called an "Itowaku".  These were was used for winding thread for weaving here in Japan. These are perfect for displaying your glass floats in! 
 
This particular size fits up to a 3 inch glass float best. 
This is a sample of what will be given. 
 
CONDITION: Vintage with all its charm.
